John J. Cadeddu, Managing Director: john@dagventures.com
Prior to joining DAG in 1999, John was a Managing Director at Amsterdam Pacific, an investment bank specializing in media and telecommunications. While at Amsterdam Pacific Corporation, John worked with BBU Mezzanine Fund I and BBU Mezzanine Fund II, where he sourced, supported and exited mezzanine investments across a number of industries. Previously, John worked at Octel Communications (now Lucent Technologies) and Tandem Computers (now H-P) in Marketing and Strategic Planning roles. He also worked at JP Morgan in both capital markets and corporate finance. John received a BA from Harvard College and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

R. Thomas Goodrich, Managing Director: tom@dagventures.com
Before co-founding DAG, Tom was a principal at Bechtel Investments, where he was responsible for overseeing a number of management buyouts of mid-size growth companies and special situation investments. He was formerly a co-founder and Vice President of Dimensional Corporate Finance, Inc., a specialty corporate finance company with significant financial backing from Xerox. Prior to this, Tom served as an independent consultant to the office of the Chairman of Bank of America and as a consultant with the Stanford Research Institute. Tom holds an A.B. from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Young J. Chung, Managing Director: young@dagventures.com
Before joining DAG in 1999, Young worked at Goldman Sachs in the Investment Banking Division, focusing on financial analysis of mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs, public and private financings, and other corporate transactions. While at DAG, he supported investments made in DAG I and II and led due diligence efforts in the early stages of DAG’s venture investment strategy implementation. In 2004, Young joined Entrisphere, a DAG portfolio company, where he focused on strategic initiatives to improve gross margins and reported to the CEO. He returned to DAG in 2005. Young has a BA from Harvard College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

John M. Duff, Jr, Managing Director: jduff@dagventures.com
Before co-founding DAG, John spent nine years with Bechtel Investments where he served initially as Chief Counsel and then as Managing Principal responsible for private equity investments. Previously, John was Deputy General Counsel and Senior Vice President of the Export Import Bank where in the latter capacity he was responsible for overseeing the Bank's lending activities. He also was formerly a partner in the law firm of Reed Smith headquartered in Pittsburgh. John holds a BA from Princeton University and an LLB from Yale Law School.

Greg Williams, Managing Director: greg@dagventures.com
Prior to joining DAG Ventures in 2006, Greg was a Portfolio Manager at Teachers’ Private Capital where he focused on mid-stage investments in the technology sector. Previously, Greg was a Vice-President at Growthworks Capital, managing a diverse portfolio of early stage venture capital investments. Prior to Growthworks, Greg was a Principal at BCE Capital where he made early stage investments in companies in the networking and communications industries. Greg holds a B.Sc. from McGill University.

Joe joined DAG Ventures in April 2007. Prior to joining DAG Ventures, Joe was Finance Director at Siemens Venture Capital, the venture arm of Siemens AG, leading finance and back office operations in the U.S.  He also served in a number of finance roles in the telecommunications products division of Siemens. Prior to Siemens, he worked as an audit manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He currently serves as Chairperson of VCBC, a member organization of VC finance professionals. Joe holds a BS from Penn State University, an MBA from Santa Clara University and is a CPA.

Nicholas K. Pianim, Managing Director: nick@dagventures.com
Prior to joining DAG Ventures in 2007, Nick was Vice President of Corporate Development at Juniper Networks where he was responsible for acquisitions, commercial transactions and venture investments.  Previously he was CFO for Ensemble Communications where he oversaw corporate development, and CEO of iAsiaWorks, a NASDAQ listed datacenter and managed services company.  He also worked with Enterprise Partners Venture Capital on a variety of development and investment assignments and with Morgan Stanley International.  Nick received a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.


Kendra H. Ragatz, Venture Partner: kendra@dagventures.com
Before first joining DAG in 2002, Kendra was a principal at Alta Communications, a private equity firm specializing in media and wireless communication investments.  Prior to Alta, Kendra worked at Brown Brothers Harriman, where she evaluated investments on behalf of the 1818 Funds, which included private equity and mezzanine funds focused on a wide range of investments.  She also worked at Steamboat Ventures, the venture capital arm of the Walt Disney Company.  Kendra received a BA from Harvard College and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
